Brad Jackson was hired as a Washington Huskies basketball assistant, meaning Raphael Chillious is probably on his way to Villanova.
Aug 17, 2012 - The Washington Huskies have hired Brad Jackson from Western Washington as a new assistant, which could mean current Washington assistant Raphael Chillious is on his way to Villanova. The 60 year old Jackson has coached at Western Washington for 27 years, winning 518 games. He concluded his current tenure with the Vikings with a 31-5 season and a national championship in Division II.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, it's being widely speculated that Chillious is going to take an assistant job at Villanova in the upcoming days.
Chillious has been on the Washington coaching staff for three seasons, and is best known coaching-wise for the development of Isaiah Thomas. He also has excellent recruiting ties with Nike, the Northeast, and Europe. He has been a part of Lorenzo Romar's coaching staff on two Pac-10 Tournament championship winning teams in 2010 and 2011 as well as a regular season conference championship in 2012.
Talk about the Jackson hire with Washington basketball fans at UW Dawg Pound. Discuss the potential arrival of Chillious with Villanova basketball fans at VU Hoops.
